Brooklyn Ave NE is one block to the west of University Way which is the heart of the University of Washington’s University District. Brooklyn Avenue is undergoing a tremendous change with the building of the U-District light rail station which is slated to open in 2021.

A Chase bank was on the NE corner of Brooklyn and 43rd. Years ago there was an IHOP directly across Brooklyn. There was an underground parking lot just north of the bank and a University owned building between the parking lot and the Neptune Theater.
