Multiple Level Approach

  • Conduct systematic surveys and interviews to determine who is interested, who will be affected, and basic issues for your organization (initial baseline study, followed by periodic update studies).

  • Connect with higher management (find a champion)

  • Review and update policies, developing them to support and empower appropriate change

  • Build an advocacy and information network - Web site, mail list, interest group, speakers

  • Contact managers and address their needs and concerns

  • Help webmasters and application developers connect with each other to explore options and share expertise

  • Work with Purchasing to empower it to give preference to products that support accessibility goals

  • Develop accessibility guidelines and standards for outside contractors
