• XHTML 2.0 is NOT backward compatible - redo all your HTML

• Content management systems offer the opportunity for one-point control of HTML

• The Semantic Web is coming (actually its already here)

• Browsers are increasingly uniform and consistent in their internal functioning, allowing more general solutions (less special case Javascripting)

• XHTML is modular - use only what you need, do not load the rest.

• Underlying all is XML, learn about it.
