User Research

About me | Over the past seven years I've collaborated with UX designers, software engineers, QA, support, and project management to develop software that is integral to the everyday lives of students, instructors, and staff at the University of Washington. My team uses a variety of user-centered approaches in order to better understand and improve the user experience, including ethnographic techniques, interviews, focus groups, surveys, A/B testing, analytics, card sorting, participant observation, design sessions, diary studies, usability testing, use cases, personas, and user stories. We employ mixed method approaches, triangulating data from multiple sources to provide a complete picture of the user experience.
