to their designated schools or youth-oriented, non-profit organizations. LSMS PTSA is one of Albertson's Community Partners
so you and your friends and family can support the school by linking your Preferred Savings Cards to our Community Partners ID
number: 49000108280. You can link your card on the Albertson's Community Partners
website or contact a PTSA board member for details.

| Dances |
Once each quarter (3 times per year), PTSA sponsors a school dance complete with a
fabulous D.J.. Students have great fun dancing and hanging out with their
friends! Dance tickets are $6. ASB and PTSA student members receive a
$1 discount on dance tickets.

| Family Access Training |
PTSA offers free hands-on training sessions for Family Access, the Lake Stevens School District online grade book. Find out
how you can keep up with your student's class schedule, teachers, attendance, homework due dates, test grades and progress
reports. The training is designed for parents with some computer experience (web browsing) but not much.
Contact Laurel Cheap at (425)335-1810 to find out about future
sessions. The district has also provided this Word document to assist parents: "Family Access Tutorial - A Guide for Parents" (1.64MB).

| Golden Acorn Award |
A Golden Acorn Award is presented, by a local PTA unit or council, to a volunteer in recognition of his/her
dedication and service to children and youth. Since the beginning of this program, more than 44,000 Golden Acorns have
been presented to volunteers throughout Washington State. A contribution in the name of the recipient(s) is made by the
honoring PTA to the Washington State PTA Financial Grant Program. From these contributions, WSPTA is able to provide
grants to freshman students entering post-secondary education.

| Invite your Parents to Lunch Days |
Parents are invited to come to school once a month to share lunch with their student. Lunch Days are the last Thursday
and Friday of the month. Parents can bring lunch or purchase lunch in the cafeteria. Parents should find out from
their student which lunch to attend and to please be sure to sign in at the office before meeting their child for lunch. We
encourage those parents who are able to come up to school and share in the lunchtime experience at LSMS!

| La Hacienda Dinner Night |
La Hacienda has partnered with LSMS PTSA in sponsoring fundraiser dinner nights at La Hacienda. Our next dinner night
is Monday, June 9th, 2008.
Tell your waitperson you are there for LSMS PTSA or provide them with this
coupon and La Hacienda will donate 17% of your
bill (alcohol purchases not included) to the LSMS PTSA.

| Operation School Bell |
A project of the Assistance League, Operation School Bell provides
clothing, shoes and hygiene kits to schoolchildren in need in grades preschool through 12. As part of this program, LSMS PTSA
provides funds for shoe purchases at Payless Shoe Source.

Safeway's eScrip
|
Safeway has contributed over $100 million to schools and youth educational organizations participating in the Safeway eScrip
program. The Safeway eScrip Program pays up to 4% on in-store and online purchases. LSMS PTSA has signed up to participate in
this program.
You and your friends and family can support the school by linking your Safeway Club Cards to our eScrip Group ID
number: 8563924. You can link your card on the eScrip website or contact a PTSA board
member for details.

| Sahara Pizza night |
Sahara Pizza has partnered with LSMS PTSA in sponsoring monthly Pizza Nights.
Coupons will be sent home with students prior to each Pizza Night. When you submit a coupon with
your pizza order, PTSA will receive $3.00 per order. Check back to find out when pizza nights will be scheduled for this
year.

| Staff Appreciation Week |
PTSA acknowledges the efforts of the LSMS staff by providing special treats for all teachers and support staff during
the week.

| Staff Treat of the Month |
As part of our ongoing appreciation of the LSMS staff, PTSA provides small tokens to the staff on a monthly basis.
