Our Children Need Your Support - Join PTSA! When you join PTSA:
- You enrich the educational programs offered in your school.
- You join a community of parents and others who share your concerns about
children.
- You show your support for your school and contribute to its success.
- You add your voice to the largest child advocacy organization in the state and
the nation.
Membership is an important part of PTSA and we encourage all parents, teachers, students and
staff to join us. Joining PTSA is a show of support for Lake Stevens Middle School PTSA
programs as well as the Washington State and National PTA organization. Joining
PTSA does not commit you to attending meetings or volunteering countless
hours of time (although some members do!).
We appreciate whatever
level of commitment people are willing to give and are happy to see so many
people involved to help make LSMS an even better place for the children to
learn.

The Purpose of the PTA
To promote the welfare of the children and youth in home, school, community, and
place of worship.
To raise the standards of home life.
To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers
may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will
secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental,
social, and spiritual education.
