We were excited to offer Academic Achievement Awards to two students this year: Cherokee Pettis and Graduate Student Matthew Lamm. Both were also 2003 UW Vice President Celebration Awardees. We wish both students well as they travel into the future and community with honors! We were also fortunate to have Julian Argel, Director of both UW Talent Search and the UW Equal Opportunity Center present the 2003 Scholarships this year. Congratulations and thank you to all for a successful 2003 graduation! (Click here to see the presentation speech)

| TO: Alaska Native Sisterhood/Brotherhood Camp #36 I would like to send a big thank you to your organization and it's members for awarding me your ANB/ANS SCholarship Award. Fortunately, my mother, two sisters, two nephews and other family members and friends were also able to be at the Raven Feast celebration. I was so proud to have my family travel allt he way from Oklahoma to help me celebrate my UW graduation! There was not much of a vacation from school because I am in the MSW Advanced SW Program and some of my classes have already begun. Again, thank you and your organization for the honor of receiving this Award. Keep up the good work! Cherokee Rose Pettis |
