MultiMedia PowerPoint Presentations for the Web
he World Wide Web is likely to become the
major publishing medium in the near future. It is particularly well suited
to multimedia presentations which combine text, graphics, sound, and
narration. This web page shows you how to prepare multimedia
PowerPoint presentations which combine text, graphics, and sound so they
can be published on the Web. The information here is based on an
excellent
multimedia course created by the
EASI/TLT group and is
oriented toward the Web environment at the University of Washington. You
may use the URL above to register for their course if you choose.
This presentation discusses
- the philosophy of multimedia presentations
- hardware and software requirements
- how to create and export narrated PowerPoint slides to the web
- some notes on sound and picture quality
This presentation assumes that you are familiar with PCs and the WWW, know
how to download software, and have some experience with PowerPoint
Here is an example of a narrated PowerPoint presentation which discusses
the concept and importance of
wearable computers.
Warning: if you view a narrated presentation, as above,
