2002 to Present     University of Washington Medical Center,     Seattle, WA.   Data Analyst, writing Transact SQL scripts to retrieve data from medical records system. Configuration Specialist for the Clinical Information Systems (CIS) Dept.  Configured, programmed, and tested CIS system changes using "vi" (Unix visual editor), and vendor configuration tools.  Wrote and edited shell scripts, C programs, and Java programs.  

 
1998 to 2002     Providence Health System,     Seattle, WA.   Case Manager for skilled nursing unit.  Acted as clinical liaison between medical staff, insurance companies, Medicare, and patients.  Screened admissions for appropriateness.  Created computer models to predict cost of care.  Extracted patient information from clinical database for analysis.  Authored reports characterizing patient population demographics.  Provided Medicare utilization review.  Negotiated and maintained facility contracts.  Web site development and management.
