Indian-Style Sauteed Okra
Modified from A Global Roundup of Okra Recipes.- Ingredients:
- 1/2 bag frozen okra (1/2 lb.)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4-1/2 teaspoons turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8-1/4 teaspoons cayenne pepper
Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add okra and cook until it turns bright green and no longer looks frozen. Add garlic. Sautee a few minutes, then add spices. Cook until completely heated through, about 5-10 minutes.
