The well-being of Alaska Native people was first promoted and protected by the Alaska Native Brotherhood and the Alaska Native Sisterhood, with their efforts dating back to 1912.  In Puget Sound our ANS history dates back 40 years to the original sisterhood charter and our ANB back to 1985.
