We participate in cooperative efforts to address environmental problems as a 'chartered signatory' of the Climate Commitment, and one of 12 founding member of the Seattle Climate Partnership ("a voluntary pact among Seattle-area employers to take action to reduce their own emissions, and to work together to help meet the community-wide goal.") click below to follow links

A formal recognition program, Husky Green Award, was launched in April 2010. The award is given to members of the UW community who have demonstrated leadership, initiative and dedication to environmental stewardship and sustainability: http://f2.washington.edu/oess/awards-recognition/awards/husky-green-award
