  • Looking for a workout partner? A free Internet matching service called buddyup.com will match sports enthusiasts in several U.S. metropolitan areas, including New York, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego, with more to come. Weightlifting is one of the sports they offer.
  • A site for bodybuilders is MuscleBuilding.info, which has a forum, a newsletter and lots of links--as well as use of the new "info" domain on the Internet.
  • GymRat's Weblog is a daily update of information by Magnus Branzen for eveyone who lifts--bodybuilding, powerlifting, general fitness and health issues, etc. It's about one-half in English and one-half in Scandinavian languages.
  • The late strength guru Mel Siff created a general strength, fitness and training discussion group called, what else but, Supertraining. It still functions as a great resource for anyone interested in strength training.
  • The weights mail list moderated by Michael Sullivan also has a web site. You can even read back issues on Michael Sullivan's WeightsNet.
  • Seattle native Eric Anderson's bodybuilding and powerlifting site, Cyberiron includes a good set of beginning routines in its powerlifting section.

  • Doug and Courtenay Schurman's BodyResults is another Washington State site for anyone who wants to get into shape, but it is particularly good for mountain climbers and lifters interested in Westside training.
