Dates of instruction

• June 22-August 21. Term A ends July 22; term B begins July 23.

Pay dates

• First segment of SPAN 134 or 5-credit A term course: 100% July 10, July 24
• Second segment of SPAN 134: 100% July 24, August 10
• Third segment of SPAN 134 or 5-credit B term course: 100% August 10, August 25
• 5-credit full-term course: 50% July 10, July 24, August 10, August 25

Only two months: Pay per month is higher

• Teaching associates and lecturers two 5-credit courses are a full load
• TAs (ASEs) paid an additional 20% summer supplement
• In 2008 TA (ASE) raise was July 1
• In 2008 faculty raise was September 1

SPS requires TAs register for one five-credit course per course taught.Insurance

• TAs still must make dependent payments
• For faculty Benefits Office may take all insurance deductions for the summer on June 25
