Well, it’s my 31st birthday today and I am happy to report that I do not feel any older today than I did on my 30th birthday. While that is the good news, the bad news is that my annual snow skiing day had to be cancelled due to TOO MUCH SNOW! How often does that happen? All of the passes and ski areas within two hours were closed due to avalanche danger!
In a drastic attempt to display my masculinity and youth, I instead went mountain biking in St. Edward’s State Park. Two hours later, I came home a muddy, filthy mess -- but, it didn’t quite satisfy the urge to strap two sticks to my feet and plunge down a black diamond run at 40 miles per hour. Oh well...
It’s nearly time to bottle our 15 gallons of blackberry and apple wines. I’ll definitely write about it in my next posting. The apple wine was an experiment that I’m not sure will pan out -- however, the blackberry wine should be killer.
Yeah, so I’m 31. This is a coconut, white chocolate cake made by the good people at Honey Bear Bakery. This cake makes it worth getting older!
