Katterman, passed away on Thursday, May 28th. Katterman\u2019s Pharmacy has been a mainstay in Seattle\u2019s Sand Point neighborhood since 1965.<\/p>\n<p class=\"blocktext\">The Katterman family\u2019s legacy to the UW School of Pharmacy lives on with the Pharmacy Alumni Association\u2019s Annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washington.edu\/news\/2009\/03\/12\/mrsa-among-topics-at-2009-katterman-lecture-april-1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Don B. Katterman Memorial Lecture<\/a>. This year, the School celebrated the 30th anniversary of this event. Bev and her daughter, Anne, attended for a special tribute (pictured).<\/p>\n<p class=\"blocktext\">Throughout their life together, Bev and her husband worked hard to keep<br \/>\ntheir neighborhood pharmacies thriving as central members of their local<br \/>\ncommunities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"blocktext\">Bev also actively supported her husband\u2019s endeavors to improve the practice<br \/>\nof pharmacy in the state of Washington. He was a mentor to countless<br \/>\npharmacy students, a former president of the UW Pharmacy Alumni Association<br \/>\nand a former president and member of the Washington State Pharmacy<br \/>\nAssociation. She herself was active in many service organizations, including<br \/>\nthe Children\u2019s Orthopedic Hospital Guild and the Women\u2019s Pharmacy Group.<\/p>\n<p class=\"blocktext\">A memorial service for Bev Katterman will take place on Saturday, May 30, at<br \/>\n2 p.m. at the University Baptist Church, 4554 12th NE in Seattle.
