Plein Center faculty member, Melissa Barker-Haliski<\/strong>, PhD, was senior author on a paper published in Neurobiology of Disease<\/em> studying the relationship between Alzheimer\u2019s disease genes and seizures in a mouse model. In this paper, investigators from the University of Washington\u2019s Departments of Pharmacy and Neurology adapted a model of chronic seizures for aged rodents in order to uncover age-related changes in susceptibility to seizure onset and anti-seizure drug efficacy in mice with Alzheimer\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
