His study will look at the relationship between use of type II diabetes medications and Alzheimer\u2019s disease related neuropathology.<\/p>\n<p>Alzheimer\u2019s disease-related neuropathology is one of the signs of Alzheimer\u2019s disease that are observed in an autopsied brain. Many other studies have found links between diabetes medications and the clinical presentation of Alzheimer\u2019s disease, but researchers have yet to examine the neuropathology of diabetes medication users.<\/p>\n<p>This is important, because there are inconsistencies between what clinicians observe and what is seen in the brain after an autopsy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><strong>Advance your career in patient-centered outcomes\u00a0research at the University of Washington.
