The five-day workshop is hosted at the <a href=\"https:\/\/amtz.in\/\">Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone<\/a> campus. The fellowship program aims to provide better understanding of Health Technology Assessment among government officials, health care program managers, innovators, professionals and health care providers.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_19417\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-19417\" style=\"width: 336px\" class=\"figure figure-caption wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-19417 \" src=\"https:\/\/sop.washington.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/Anirban_India_Recognition-375x401.jpg\" alt=\"The Honorable Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas, from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, recognized CHOICE Director Anirban Base\" width=\"336\" height=\"368\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-19417\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Honorable Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas, from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, recognized CHOICE Director Anirban Base <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The fellowship program offers sessions by expert faculty in the subjects of systematic reviews, economic analysis and medical technology evaluations. Anirban teaches the health economics and economic evaluation components and serves as an advising member on the Health Insurance Commission for the Honorable Health Minister, Kamineni Srinivas, and advises the health\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">ministry on state health insurance programs such as <\/span>Aarogya Raksha<span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">, which is one of the few public health\u00a0insurance targeting people above poverty line in India.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Part of the government&#8217;s 2018-19 budget presented last month, India&#8217;s new health care plan would offer 100 million families up to roughly $7,800 for coverage per year.\u00a0Read more about the initiative&#8217;s specifics <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/02\/01\/business\/india-modi-health-care.html\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mceTemp\"><\/div>\n<h4>Advance your career in patient-centered outcomes\u00a0research that has a global impact at the University of Washington.
