GSEE: Graduate Student Equity & Excellence<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Office of Graduate Student Equity & Excellence (GSEE) is the UW Graduate School\u2019s effort at expanding graduate education to underrepresented minority communities. This page provides information regarding funding, development opportunities, events, and more.<\/p>\n

Race & Equity Initiative Anti-Racism Resources<\/a><\/h3>\n

Created in the wake of George Floyd and other black people\u2019s murders in 2020, this UW page provides a list of articles, websites, videos, podcasts, and more for those who want to gain a deeper understanding of historical and contemporary manifestations of racism in the United States.<\/p>\n

Advancing Chicanos\/Hispanics & Native Americans in Science<\/a><\/h3>\n

SACNAS is an inclusive organization dedicated to fostering the success of Chicanos\/Hispanics and Native Americans, from college students to professionals, in attaining advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership in STEM. This national organization has 120 chapters across the country, including a chapter at UW-Seattle.<\/p>\n

Faculty and Staff Affinity Groups<\/a><\/h3>\n

If you are interested in building community or fostering connections with other faculty and staff at the UW, you are invited to get involved with faculty and staff affinity groups. Current affinity groups at the UW include: Asian & Pacific Islander, Black, LGBTQ, Latinx, and Native.<\/p>\n

Q Center<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Q Center is the professionally-supported resource, advocacy, and mentoring center for LGBTQ+ students and concerns at the UW.<\/p>\n

Civil Rights Compliance Office<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Civil Rights Compliance Office (CRC) is responsible for compliance with civil rights laws and University policy.<\/p>\n

Student Veteran Life<\/a><\/h3>\n
