{"id":17332,"date":"2017-05-22T11:58:13","date_gmt":"2017-05-22T18:58:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sop.washington.edu\/?page_id=17332"},"modified":"2024-10-09T09:23:32","modified_gmt":"2024-10-09T16:23:32","slug":"deans-advisory-council-of-students","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/staff.washington.edu\/twentzel\/wordpress\/pharmd\/student-affairs\/deans-advisory-council-of-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Dean\u2019s Advisory Council of Students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Dean\u2019s Advisory Council of Students (DACS) is an inclusive committee of elected student representatives, collaborating to advise the Dean on School of Pharmacy budgets, admissions, programs, student affairs, and new initiatives.\u00a0The members of the Council include the School of Pharmacy Dean, PharmD program leadership, PharmD Student Representatives from each class elected by their peers, and a Graduate Student Representative from each graduate program.<\/p>\n<p>Students Reps advise the Dean and PharmD program leadership, raising questions offered by classmates, discussing relevant and timely issues, and making decisions on student matters as appropriate.\u00a0Two of the Student Reps from each class serve on the Curriculum Committee, and one serves on the Student and Preceptor Experiential Advisory Committee.
