The centralized application system allows applicants to use a single application to apply to multiple Doctor of Pharmacy degree programs.<\/p>\n<p>PharmCAS collects and processes applications to participating pharmacy colleges and schools. The application opens every year in mid-July. Please be aware that PharmCAS must receive all application materials by stated deadlines. Any required documents received after the deadline may cause an application to be marked as deny-incomplete.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants to the UW School of Pharmacy PharmD Program must complete the on-line <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pharmcas.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PharmCAS Application<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>PharmCAS Resources<\/h3>\n<p>PharmCAS provides multiple resources for applicants wishing to learn more about the application process encountering any concerns while applying. To be considered for priority review,\u00a0<em>all application materials must be submitted<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>by October 1 including transcripts and recommendations. Please note that PharmCAS can take up to one week to process applications so you are strongly encouraged to apply well before the deadline if you are looking to be considered for priority review.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants are reviewed on a rolling basis. Rolling admission means that applications are reviewed in the order that they are received. Applicants are <em>strongly<\/em> encouraged to apply early in the application cycle and to sign up for the earliest possible interview day.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW34670148 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW34670148 BCX0\">Applicants who apply early <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW34670148 BCX0\">and are invited to interview <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW34670148 BCX0\">will be able to sign up for earlier interview dates<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW34670148 BCX0\">, increasing the chances of <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW34670148 BCX0\">receiving <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW34670148 BCX0\">an earlier<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW34670148 BCX0\"> decision<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW34670148 BCX0\">. Depending on the size and strength of our applicant pool, our PharmD class may reach <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW34670148 BCX0\">capacity<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW34670148 BCX0\"> before the application deadline. Should this happen, all remaining applicants will be considered for a spot on our waitlist. <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW34670148 BCX0\">Waitlisted<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW34670148 BCX0\"> candidates will be <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW34670148 BCX0\">offered admission<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW34670148 BCX0\"> if and when seats become available.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW34670148 BCX0\" data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Application Materials<\/h3>\n<p>All applications materials are submitted directly through <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pharmcas.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PharmCAS <\/a>. <em>Please<\/em> <em>do not send any applications directly to the UW School of Pharmacy! <\/em>As part of the application, you will submit the following materials:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Application fee, <\/strong>paid through PharmCAS.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Official, sealed transcripts from ALL colleges, universities, community colleges or technical colleges attended or from which credit was awarded (including Running Start, College in the High School, etc.)<\/strong>. Transcripts are required even if coursework does not apply toward pharmacy prerequisites. Failure to report all coursework may result in disqualification of an offer of interview or admission. Applicants who have attended or received credit from a college or university which evaluates coursework through narrative transcripts rather than assigning numerical or letter grades must send an official narrative transcript to both PharmCAS and the UW School of Pharmacy by the deadline dates. Narrative transcripts require additional processing and review.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Recommendations.<\/strong> Two (2) recommendation forms and letters of recommendation are required.\n<ul>\n<li>The University of Washington School of Pharmacy requires two recommendations from a source who can speak to your professional demeanor, accountability and maturity, such as a professor, teaching assistant, employer or volunteer supervisor.<\/li>\n<li>Recommendations are <strong>NOT ACCEPTED<\/strong> from family members, friends, fraternity or sorority advisors, personal health care providers, high school faculty\/advisors, mentors or job shadow professionals, career services or reference letter centers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Official Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate Test Score Sheet<\/strong> (<a href=\"\/doctor-of-pharmacy-degree-program-pharmd-2\/application-prerequisite-info\/apib-credit\/\">only required if AP\/IB scores are being used toward prerequisite coursework<\/a>). AP applicants should request test scores using Code Number 5981 which is specific to the University of Washington School of Pharmacy. CLEP credits are not accepted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Additional Application Notes for non-U.S. Citizens<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Foreign transcript evaluations are required for any application who has earned college\/university credit outside of the United States<strong>. <\/strong>Evaluations must be sent directly to PharmCAS for review. Although foreign coursework are not guaranteed to apply to prerequisites, coursework completed internationally is considered as part of the Cumulative GPA. Therefore, applicants who have attended any foreign schools MUST have a transcript evaluation. The UW School of Pharmacy will only accept a course-by-course evaluation by one of the following agencies:\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wes.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WES-World Education Services (preferred evaluator)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ece.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ECE-Educational Credential Evaluators<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>TOEFL scores are required for any applicant who will not be completing an American\/Canadian bachelor&#8217;s degree before starting the PharmD. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ets.org\/toefl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TOEFL<\/a> scores should be sent directly to PharmCAS. The TOEFL score must be submitted by the application deadline.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Confidentiality of Application Materials<\/h3>\n<p>The UW School of Pharmacy will not discuss application statuses or materials with anyone other than the applicant. Please do not ask others to contact our Student and Academic Services Admissions team to inquire about the status of your application or to give an \u201cadditional recommendation\u201d beyond what is included in your application. We consider only those recommendations included in the application package.
