Honors, Awards and Grants

    Recipient of James B. Wiley Endowed PhD Fellowship
    Jim Wiley received his PhD at the UW Business School in 1975. He went on to a distinguished academic career at such institutions as Wayne State University, Temple University, University of Alberta, and Victoria University in New Zealand. Much of his research involved development and testing of psychological measurement methods such as multidimensional scaling and conjoint analysis, as well as their application to marketing problems. He donated virtually his entire estate to the Foster School, with the intention of funding marketing doctoral students’ research.

    Gary Furukawa (UW 1981) was honored by the Foster School of Business with a fellowship in his name in 2016, recognizing his Distinguished Leadership Award at the Foster School 2015 awards banquet.
