Deployment of a SUS Charge

SUS charges were usually deployed from the stern of the ship by hand. They are designed to detonate at a predetermined pressure. Typically a recording device on board the ship was used to note the time of detonation and location of the SUS charge signal. The photo shows Peter Worcester in 1979.
