About

I am the web computing specialist for the University of Washington School of Public Health and Community Medicine. I handle web development, web design, project management, evangelism, and planning. In other words, I do most everything but run the database and deal with hardware (we have two great people who handle that far better than me). I’m what you can call a web generalist — I do a lot of things but don’t specialize in anything. I’m a utility infielder in a time of the designated hitter.

My core code skill set is XHTML, CSS, classic ASP, and XML/XSLT. In addition, I have experience with JavaScript, PHP, Perl, and Ruby on Rails. In the “softer” skills I focus on web standards, web accessibility, and trying to keep up with Web 2.0/3.0/x.x.

In my non-work life I hang out with my wife and daughter, blog when I can, and attend way too many Mariners games. I also enjoy cooking and photography. My personal site is clientandserver.com.

Also, I like nectarines.
