Programming/Data Management Skills:

  • Extensive design and implementation proficiency using: PHP 4-5, Java 1.4/JavaDoc, SQL Data Definition and Queries, MySQL, XHTML/HTML, and OOD/OOP.
  • Demonstrated experience with data modeling, including normalization and denormalization trade-offs, time variant data, dimentional modeling/star schemas, and time-variant vs. event data, changing dimensions, and transaction modeling.
  • Extensive experience with XML technologies, including XML Syntax, XML DTDs, XML Schema, XPath, XML-DOM, JDOM, Jaxen, XSLT, SOAP and the Altova XMLSpy Suite.
  • Demonstrated design and implementation proficiency using: C/C++, Visual Basic 6 & .NET, UML, TCP/IP, DHTML, and Javascript.

Operating Systems:

  • Extensive experience installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and supporting Windows 95/98/ NT4/XP Home/XP Pro.
  • Extensive experience installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and supporting Macintosh OS 7/8/9/10.1-10.3 (including Darwin BSD Unix).
  • Experience installing, upgrading and configuration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 AS.
  • Working knowledge of Red Hat Linux 8 and Solaris.

Software Skills:

  • Extensive experience using, installing, upgrading and supporting: Microsoft Office 97-XP (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), FTP, HTTP/S, CVS, Telnet, SSH, Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Mozilla, Apple Safari, various firewalls, Apache, IIS, Adobe Photoshop 6/7, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Dreamweaver MX, and Fireworks MX.
  • Extensive experience building complex multi-pass queries, reports, forms, macros, and scripting in Microsoft Access (along with the understanding that Access is not a real database, and is perhaps the most abused piece of software in the business world).
  • Demonstrated proficiency using: Microsoft SQL Server 2k, Project 2000, Visio, Adobe Acrobat 4, IBM HolosofxBPR, Microsoft Exchange Server, Director 8.5, and many others.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new applications very quickly.
