Learn about the 2008 State Plan Launch and Regional Obesity Prevention Meetings

Over 850 partners representing more than 250 organizations, agencies, and programs have pledged to put the Washington State Nutrition & Physical Activity Plan into action. Their efforts are helping to bring about environmental and policy change so that more residents in Washington can choose healthy foods and be more physically active.

Why Become a Partner of the Plan?

  • Stay Informed
Partners receive our quarterly e-newsletter showcasing activities that support the plan and highlighting resources, events, and funding opportunities of interest.
  • Share Successes and Increase Awareness of Your Programs and Activities
By sharing information on your work, you will increase the visibility of your efforts while helping to build a catalog of activities across the state.
  • Help Evaluate the State Plan
The Annual Survey of Partners survey is important for tracking the growing support for this work and identifying gaps as the Plan is put into action.

Evaluation of Partners in Action, 2010

During April and May 2010, 113 Washington State community leaders and decision makers were interviewed and surveyed to learn what they are doing to implement the Washington State Nutrition and Physical Activity Plan. Find out how they are putting the Plan into action.

Annual Survey of Partners

The annual survey is conducted by the UW Center for Public Health Nutrition and the Washington State Department of Health to document efforts to improve nutrition and physical activity through environmental or policy change.
