Teaching with Web Composition
           
Initial Set-up.

Before you begin, you and your students will need to follow these steps to get your web capabilities up and running. If you are not using a UW computer, you may need to install some programs. Don't worry; they're free ;).
  • First, make sure you have a copy of Mozilla Composer.
  • Second, make sure you have installed SSH Secure File Transfer.

  • Third, make sure you have your web capabilities turned on. If not follow these steps:
    • 1. Browse to the UW Computing page.
    2. Select 'Manage UWNetID Resources.
    3. Verify that 'Dante Account' and 'Web Publishing' are turned on.
    4. Follow steps the prompts until it confirms your changes.
  • Finally, create a folder for your website. Name it all one word, no spaces. In that folder, create another folder named 'images'. You'll save all your images here.
