Rewrite a text as a hypertext.
For this assignment you will restyle a website two times for two different purposes. The goal here is to demonstrate an ability to to use style to bring out aspects of the content, to have some particular affect.
Part 1:Two Re-stylings. You should choose an already finished page and redesign its layout keeping content the same. Your final product will include three pages: the original, and two new versions representing two alternative styles controlled by the styles in the tags in the head of the document or in an external stylesheet .css file. Your two version should represent two
Part 2: Introduction/Reflection page. Create a webpage that includes the links to the three documents (the original site at its original URL, and your two alternatives, published on your dante account). This page should give a thorough description of what you were trying to do. On this page, you should:
- Discuss what your goals are for redesigning each page.
- Talk about what you had in mind when you started - any particular concept, theme, look, or feeling you are trying to convey.
- Explain why you thought this style would work for this content and how you think you the style creates your desired effect. Remember that, especially with webwriting, presentation contributes to the meaning of a text, so color choice, images used, positioning, all contribute to the meaning.
- Note the elements you think are the best improvements (from the original page to your style, from your first style to your second).
- Share any difficulties you were having, such as something you were trying to do but could not accomplish
