Building a Web Site - Save the Generic Page Over and Over

You have a generic page created and saved. It is time to save the other pages in your web site. Here is where planning will pay off. To create all the remaining web pages in your site, go to the File Menu and choose Save As. Save the file into the same folder but chnage its name to the next page according to your storyboard. You can do Save As very quickly and create all you pages in minutes. The time saving aspect of this works like the figures below:

When you begin adding content, the pages might look like this:

The steps:

• plan the web site
• create a folder to hold the web site and all its graphics
• create a generic page
• save the generic page as each page you plan on creating
• add content to the pages
• add links between the pages
