Poulsbo tides to be used for anchoring plans.
Saturday evening high tide at 7:47 PM (19:47) at 11.9 feet
Low tide at 01:57 AM with 3.8 feet. Total tidal drop through the night is 8.1
feet.
Currents for any passes:
Agate Pass Saturday- Tide turns from ebb to flood at 12:29 on Saturday. Do not
want to enter the pass before noon.
Agate Pass Sunday - Current ebbs from to 07:22 til 13:05. Need to enter pass
no later than noon.

South End of Agate Pass
Concern for strong currents limits the windows of time for safe passage through
Agate Pass:
Bridge Heights: Platypus clears all bridges except the Fremont bridge.

Aug 8th, Crew call:
Arrive: 8:00 am (Skipper will prep boat and check fuel Friday night)
Crew must pay to park at the kiosk.
Depart: 8:30 am
· Motor from WAC to Shilshole - 2 hours--- tow a dinghy
· Depart Shilshole 10:30 on heading of ~300 by 10:30. It is 7 nautical
miles to the N. entrance to Agate Pass. At a speed of 3.5 knots this will take
2 hours.
·Shilshole Marina has gas if needed.
. Approximately 1 nautical mile from RW Mo(A) change heading to 269 towards
Pt Monroe, the current will be in our favor
· 12:30 Slack tide at north end of Agate Pass .
· We can arrive at Agate pass after 12:30 as the current will be flowing
SW all afternoon.
· Arriving Poulsbo, the Poulsbo Marina is farthest to the north. E. and
F. dock are for temporary moorage. Beware of shallow water north of F. Dock.
Moor to dock and go ashore. Sunset is not until after 2030. Will discuss with
crew but most likely have dinner at the dock and then get to the business of
setting anchor by 1915.
Sunday, Aut 9th:
· Dinghy into the Poulsbo marina dock in the morning. Breakfast onshore.
. Dinghy back to boat, up anchor, gas at the dock if needed.
· Depart Poulsbo no later than 1000. Motor / sail, need 2 knots made
good to make Agate Pass before slack.
· Once clear of Agate Passage set a course of ~110. Heading towards Shilshole,
current will turn in our favor after 1317. If not within one mile of Shilshole
by 1600 turn on motor.
. Gas at Shilshole if needed. Pump out station at Shilshole if needed.

sail locker:
· BYOBreakfast Saturday morning, snacks/donuts/drinks will be available.
· Lunch underway on both days
· Dinner Saturday evening on Charlotte for all crew.
· Breakfast Sunday morning onshore (bakery) although snacks/drinks available
onboard also.
