Motor Scooter Racing

Scooter Racing, you say? Those zippy little scooters that weave through traffic, racing? Believe it. There are several organizations throughout the world that race scooters.

Scooter Racing is similar to motorcycle racing in appearance only. Try to triple the horsepower out of a stock motorcycle, no way. However, with a bit of luck, skill and effort, you can start with a 7hp scooter and end up with a 25hp screamer.

Racing top-end kits, carburetors and exhausts for scooters have recently become readily available. The quality of these performance enhancing scooter parts has greatly improved as well. Check with your local scooter shop for more information.

National Scooter Riders Association The NSRA is the worlds premier scooter racing organization. With thousands of members and a dozen races each year, the NSRA leads with the popularity of scooter racing in the UK. At present, we do not have the NSRA '95 calendar. However, this page will be updated when it becomes available.

American Scooter Racing Association The ASRA is the premier American scooter racing group. Racing completely in California, the ASRA has five annual races mostly at Willow Springs. The ASRA, like the NSRA, has several classes and oportunities for all level of scooter racer.
