Greetings,

My name is Steven Troy and welcome to my minimalist webpage. There's not much here, and there probably won't be much here in the future either.

I work for the University of Washington Physics Department in the Lecture Demonstration facility. If you are a UW professor, please check out the Lecture Demo homepage for a list of available equipment or email me through lectdemo@phys.washington.edu.

Perhaps the coolest part of my job is that I get to design and build new demonstrations. I'll write web pages about some of the more interesting projects and list them here. Newer projects will be listed first and get moved down as more are added.

Designing and machining a Turners Cube was a neat learning project in SolidWorks.

Double pendulum.

Building a Better Guinea and Feather.

My first project was a 15,000 rpm Tesla Turbine that I built from hard drive platters.

If you feel so inclined, you can email me: sbtroy(at)u.washington.edu.
