EduPerson Project
  • Most LDAP deployment follows a standard pattern
    • look and wonder about standard Person classes
    • avoid them, define institution-specific XXperson class/attrs
    • write local apps to use them

  • Promote common implementation practice
    • recommend usage of standard classes (inetOrgPerson)
    •   and standard use of these attributes
    • new attributes to cover typical local uses
    • new attributes to support inter-campus authn/authz

  • Version 1.0 released 2001/01/22
    • 6 new attributes, recommendations on many existing ones
    • Venue for discussion with data owners/suppliers

  • "LDAP Recipe" companion document
