Tim in front of Tahoma. Tim and Jeff getting some rest before our climb tonight. That's Cadaver Gap!  It provides a shortcut to the top, but too dangerous this time of year. The Cowlitz Glacier, Cathedral Rock to the left and Tahoma in the middle.

The sun rises as we trudge along route upwards. The crowded line of climbers moving further, with a crevasse in the foreground. Some climbers behind us, with Gibraltar Rock in the background. Tim is ectstatic to be out on a wonderful day!

That's Little Tahoma! These crevasses will suck you right in if you're not careful. The 'Summit Crater', with climbers coming in from the right. Here's a look at the Crater Rim, there's the wreckage of a crashed airplane buried somewhere in the snow.

He left some flowers as well. Tim and Jeff step gingerly over a snow bridge on the way back. Tim and Jeff take a narrow path along an ice wall. It's a different world up here, full of ice, crevasses, danger, and beauty.

Jeff skirting the lower slope near a crevasse. Some climbers in the distance, on the upper reaches of the moutain Climbers moving along on the top of Disappointment Cleaver. Back at Camp Muir we are all surprised by a dramatic rock slide.  Rocks the size of small cars came tumbling down!

Here's a closer look. Packed up and heading down Muir Snowfield, back to civilization! A group of deer greet us as we close in on the trailhead, our car, and a fresh change of clothes!
