Mission: to provide exceptional training for family physicians in compassionate, comprehensive, and innovative health care.

• Goal: to train family physicians to practice in a variety of settings and foster the development of collegial and organizational skills to enhance patient care, while leading the cutting edge of technology and evidence based care.
• Values: respect, scientific discipline, integrity, pioneering spirit, and stewardship.
• Patients: blue and white collar workers, students, retirees, recent and generational immigrants, unemployed, and those on state and federal health plans.
• Highlights: Teen Pregnancy and Parenting Clinic, HIV clinic, high OB numbers, abortion training, balint/support group, with mostly 1:1 teaching with attendings, clinical informatics, emphasis on preventive care and chronic disease management. Community-based collegial program in an urban neighborhood with a rich cultural history and tremendous diversity, close integrated relationships with specialist teachers and consultants.
