UW Family Medicine Residency Network Digital Resources Library (NDRL) web site.

Welcome to the Network Digital Resources Library (NDRL) web site, a repository of teaching resources for the faculty and residents across the University of Washington Family Medicine Residency Network. The NDRL is a place to both develop and share educational materials ranging from text documents to multimedia presentations. The Library houses reviewed and completed materials while the Network Groups allow members to collaborate on private or in-development resources. Access to the site is restricted to those working within the Network.

NDRL Library Icon The Network library houses previously published or presented materials that faculty and residents recommend as valuable teaching tools to be widely disseminated across the network.

These materials are divided into three categories:

Administrative (Acredidation, Finance, etc.)

Curricular (Geriatrics, Evidence-Based Practice, etc.)

Research (FPIN, Grants, etc.)

Each category contains several topics. The Curricular category, in particular, contains a wide variety of topical resources ranging from Behavioral Science to Genetics to Practice Management.

The library index provides author information, type, and date of submission for each resource entered.

Network Groups Icon The Network Groups are collaborative workspaces where educators develop teaching resources on common topics, process shared data, develop tools for evaluation, and more.

Existing Network Groups include:

role groups (Directors, Coordinators, etc.)

standing committees (Education, Financial & Legislative, etc.)

resource teams (New Innovations, NDRL, etc.)

projects (Oral Health, Genetics, etc.)

scholarship (FPIN, Fellows, etc.)

New Network Groups can be added by request if there is sufficient interest and support.

FMDRL (Family Medicine Digital Resource Library)
To support and enhance the sharing and collaborative development of educational resources among family medicine educators through a Digital Library that includes resources for all levels of family medicine education. (Supported by STFM)

MedEdPortal
MedEdPORTAL is a new publishing venue through which faculty may disseminate their educational works. It was designed to promote collaboration and educational scholarship by facilitating the exchange of peer reviewed teaching resources such as tutorials, cases, lab manuals, assessment instruments, faculty development materials, etc. (AAMC)

HEAL (Health Education Assets Library)
The Health Education Assets Library (HEAL) is a digital library that provides freely accessible digital teaching resources of the highest quality that meet the needs of today's health sciences educators and learners.
