Linking between E-Res and Millennium

How to add an E-Res URL to a course's reserve page.

To make a link between the eres system on Docutek and Millennium, a URL field for the electronic reserves record that you are linking to should be added to the Millennium course record.

Access 'Course Reserves' in Millennium and bring up the course record

Click on 'edit'.

Insert a new URL field in the course record; it should have an 856 field included (i.e. it should look like this: URL 856

Enter the URL in the following format:
URL 856 |uhttps://eres.lib.washington.edu/eres/coursepage.aspx?cid=5764 |zOnline course reserves for [class abbreviation, i.e., PSYCH 101]; UW NetID required

Save and close the course record.

Check the Course Reserves web page for the course to make sure the link has appeared and works correctly.
