492 ASSIGNMENTS
The
Analysis Paper
Your grade on the Analysis Paper counts
for 37.5% of your overall grade in this course. Please bring THREE COPIES of
the rough draft of your Analysis Paper to class on Monday, May 5. The
rough draft is mandatory. It will not be graded, but you will receive extensive
feedback on your draft. Rough drafts must be complete and on time.
Failure to submit a rough draft on time will result in a late penalty being
assessed on the final draft. Your final draft is due before 3:30 on Friday, May 16.
Sample Analysis Papers from previous years appear in the ENVIR 492 Course Reader, documents #1-4.
Presentation at the Capstone Conference
The Capstone Conference on June 4is a chance to celebrate and show off what you accomplished during your
Capstone Experience. You can present either a poster or an oral presentation
at the conference. This presentation counts for 30% of your overall grade
in this course. The requirements for this assignment can be found in the
presentation guidelines for the Capstone
Conference.
You must submit the final draft of your presentation title and abstract electronically
before class on May 19. Guidelines
for writing abstracts, as well as sample abstracts, can be found here.
Students
will present a dress-rehearsal version of their poster or oral presentation
on Wednesday, May 28 or Monday, June 2.
Everyone will present at the Capstone Conference on Wednesday, June 4,
1:30 to 5:15, Husky Union Building (HUB), room 310.
