CENTRAL VENOUS THROMBOSIS

• Symptoms can include: Headache, papilledema, focal neurologic deficits, seizures, and altered consciousness.
• Diagnosis is typically by MRI with MR venography
• Usually treated with anticoagulants (heparin followed by oral anticoagulation, usually for at least 6 months).
