My Arabians

Nicki Nira AHR # 86303 (El Brillante x Zahiyeh Randa)
Nicki at Evergreen State Fair17K
My first Arabian mare passed away in January of 1998--a shock to me and all those who loved her. She died of a sudden case of colic. To the left is a picture of Nicki in the fall of 1997 (taken at the Evergreen State Fair). She was healthy to her last day. She did have two colts during her life (both while I owned her). One colt by Drummer, a Fadjur-bred horse, and one by *Diament, an imported Polish stallion. Both colts are now grey geldings that have new homes--one in Monroe, WA and one in Yakima, WA.

Here's some photos of my new (to me), younger mare. Most of them are her in the pasture on the day I bought her (pretty bad photos, sorry). The last one is from when she was shown by her old owner, about 7 years ago. She is double Abu Farwa, with at least 33 traces to Mesaoud. She has a Davenport mare line, and her sire line traces to Skowronek. She will be shown Country Pleasure (mostly next show season). I'm planning on breeding her to a CMK stallion within the next few years. She's had 2 fillies--one pinto/NSH and one by Silver Celebrity. She's a great producer, and I look forward to having a new foal someday (a filly, I hope)!

Pedigree Research
I also do Arabian pedigree research, specializing in CMK breeding. I do it just for fun...drop me an email at tru@u.washington.edu if you want to talk bloodlines. I have the Arabian Horse Bookshelf CD-Rom of all registered Arabs through the end of 1996--it's a great resource!
