Crab Diving
Being from the East Coast, I've had some really fresh lobster. There's nothing quite like walking up to the old, weathered building of the Roy Moore Lobster Company for a freshly caught lobster. You pick the one you want from the tank, pay the $6 or $7 (depending on size and season) and in a few minutes it's boiled up for ya. Then you cradle the little guy in his paper tray, clutching your plastic fork and paper napkin, and try not to spill the melted butter everywhere. You take a seat out on the old lobster traps behind the shack, take in some sunshine, and enjoy!
But not even fresh New England lobster compares to the sweetness of Dungeness crab (Cancer magister). And if you know where and when to dive for them, a good score will max out your limit.
Here's Michael and I gearing up for a crab dive:

Here's me trying to lug myself, and all my gear, not to mention the crabs, out of the water! This is not an easy dive to do first thing in the morning and hung-over! Damn, this gear is not light!

Michael likes to talk to his crabs. "First, I'm going to kill you! Then, I'm going to eat you!"
