Ultrasound Imaging of Blood flow

Snow

Current projects include high frame rate and high frequency ultrasound imaging of blood flow in the spinal cord with particular applications to understanding changes arising from spinal cord injury, aging, and nerve function.

Using similar approaches, we also investigate flow dynamics and their changes in other organs like the heart. This image illustrates ultrasound imaging of microbubbles in the myocardium, representing perfusion, and left ventricle, illustrating flow dynamics early systole.
