I have a BS in Mathematics and an MA in Linguistics from the University of Washington. My Master's Thesis concerns the design of testing methodologies: Evaluating a cross-linguistic grammar model: Methodology
and test-suite resource development (available
online).
My primary areas of interest are grammar engineering and syntax. I do research in conjunction with the LinGO Grammar Matrix,
an open-source toolkit designed to jump-start the development of
broad-coverage precision implemented grammars of diverse languages. I am currently undertaking theoretical and typological research on tense and aspect.
