have been in computing for a long time. Some of my educational and work background includes:

• Bachelor and Master of Science from the UW in Mathematics
• PhD in Computer Science, also from the UW
• Past employment:
  • Working at Lawrence Livermore Labs as a scientific programmer, mainly on image processing and pattern recognition
  • Working as a scientific programmer for the Center for Quantitative Sciences here at the UW
  • Research Assistant Professor and Research Associate Professor also at CQS here at the UW
  • Computer Specialist and Consultant here at C&C
• Hobbies and recreation: most forms of science, history (especially medieval Chinese), weight training, classical piano, and most things related to space
