I am a Research Assistant Professor in the
Bumgarner Lab at the Department of Microbiology
at University of Washington.
My research focuses on pattern recognition using functional genomics data.
I am interested in engineering practical algorithms and software tools
to facilitate the extraction and interpretation of biological meaning
from high throughput data.
I am a computer scientist by training (Ph.D. in Computer Science from
University of Washington), but I also have extensive experience in
applying statistical techniques to analysis of high dimensional microarray
data and working with researchers with different scientific backgrounds.
