Assignment #15

Due Monday, May 22, 2006

1) a) Use the attached paper with a “hexagonal” grid to make a 2-dimension pattern that has two translations (of course),
a vertical reflection, R(120), R(240), and R(360)=I. Make at least 4 repeating rows and columns.
	b) Does your pattern have a horizontal reflection? If so, be sure to clearly indicate on your pattern where the horizontal reflection is.
	c) Does your pattern have a rotation center that is not on a reflection line?
If so, be sure to clearly indicate on your pattern where the center of the rotation is that is not on a reflection line.

2) Use the attached paper with a “hexagonal” grid to make a 2-dimension pattern that has two translations (of course),
no vertical reflection, no horizontal reflection, R(120), R(240), and R(360)=I. Make at least 4 repeating rows and columns.

3) Using the attached diamond grid paper and using the smaller diamonds as the grid make a 2-dimensional band ornament that has a vertical reflection,
a glide reflection, and has no 180 degree rotation Make at least 4 repeating rows and columns. Please use only one color.
