				and section 2.5.1  page 57

1) Study for a short quiz on Monday on this reading.

2) Draw a one dimensional band ornament that has a vertical reflection and a translation as its only symmetries.

* identify any base elements that could be used to construct the image as we did in class when we were looking at the frieze patterns

3) Draw a one dimensional band ornament that has a horizontal reflection, a vertical reflection, and a translation. 

* identify all the symmetries within the image
* identify any base elements that could be used to construct the image as we did in class when we were looking at the frieze patterns

4) Find a glide reflection for your culture.

Be prepared to show and discuss your images with the class.
