The 1959 Fisher 30-A used as the basis for this project is a small,
mono amplifier that was originally built for Fisher consoles.
The circuit is very simple, utilizing a pair of 6BQ5s in push-pull
and a single 12AX7 AF amp/phase inverter. The amplifier also uses
a single 6CA4 full-wave rectifier. Click on an image for the full-size view.
The finished amplifier consists of two 30-A circuits mounted on a single
chassis. Each channel retains an original 30-A output transformer
and power transformer, for a truly dual-mono design. All of the passive
components are mounted on a turret board which is situated just forward
of the EL84s.
