Our faculty advisors are: Susan Lakey and Micki Kedzierski. Read below to learn more about LKS's faculty advisors.

Susan Lakey
Susan Lakey is a Clinical Instructor at the
University Of Washington School Of Pharmacy. She is one of the Geriatric Program Faculty in the Department of Pharmacy. Susan is originally from Indiana, where she went to Purdue University for her undergraduate degree. She then attended the University of Washington for Pharmacy School and completed a residency and fellowship in Geriatric Psychopharmacology through the School of Pharmacy. Susan primarily teaches courses in the Geriatric Certificate Program. She also teaches a practicum at the Hearthstone, a continuing care retirement community on Greenlake. In her spare time, Susan spends time with her 5 year old son, Gabriel.  He is a kindergartener this year at Lowell Elementary and loves to go-go-go! Micki Kedzierski
Michaelene (Micki) Kedzierski, RPh, CDP is a Clinical Professor and Associate Director of Counseling Services in the Office of Academic and Student Programs in the School of Pharmacy, University of Washington. She is a licensed pharmacist (RPh) and a Chemical Dependency Professional (CDP). She is a Faculty Affiliate in the Health Sciences Center for Interprofessional Education. She teaches several courses, including practicums, on chemical dependency as related to clinical practice, public health, legal and ethical considerations and community issues. In addition to teaching and counseling responsibilities in the School of Pharmacy, she is the
Pharmacy Consultant to Evergreen Treatment Services in Seattle, a methadone-based program for the treatment of opiate addiction.  She is an addiction specialist with experience in group process. She has extensive
experience working with underserved patient populations in the community clinic system, including providing service to patients with general medical conditions, drug/alcohol addiction, mental health problems, immigrant populations, geriatric patients and those who are uninsured.  You may contact Micki by email at kedzm@u.washington.edu
